Strategy

Oaklane Capital invests primarily in the following types of real estate projects: office; industrial/business park; mixed-use; and land acquired for future development. Oaklane Capital's selection criteria for suitable investment opportunities includes the following:

  • Identifying real estate sub-markets in North Carolina, South Carolina and other areas in the Southeastern United States with undervalued and inefficiently priced investment opportunities
  • Repositioning existing real estate properties for higher and more efficient use
  • Collaborating with property management, marketing and brokerage alliances to transition value to end users
  • Acquiring existing real estate properties to create value through active asset management and select capital improvements
  • Locating excellent joint venture alliances
  • Capturing value through the timely disposition, or recapitalization, of assets
  • Purchasing debt at favorable terms
